Pengwenlong Gu has been elected as Secretary of the newly established IEEE Next Generation Networking and Internet (NGNI) Technical Committee (TC) within the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc). The role, effective January 2026, comes as the NGNI TC merges the existing Network Operations and Management (NOM) TC, Internet TC, and Tactile Internet TC, aiming to advance innovative networking paradigms in areas like 5G/6G, IoT, satellite systems, and distributed technologies.
