The ROC team participates to the new IPCEI project (European framework for the funding of new industrial sectors) on the integration of OpenRAN technologies into 5G and beyond 5G networks. The project is coordinated by Orange, and is in collaboration with CEA, Ekinops, Eurecom, Kalrey, IMT, Obvious and runs from 2024 to 2027.
Our contribution will be on the design of NetFPGA-based acceleration technologies for OpenRAN and on the experimentation of network automation algorithms in the OpenRAN-based 5G infrastructure.
